persistance code is about one hundredth of what would be needed for a
traditional database, DB2 for instance, no pun intended.

demonstrated that the application would reduce the logic code, which
is 60% for persistance, to one hundredth of that, and improve
performance ten fold, not to mention the overall simplification.
