Hi,

 can someone please enlighten me regarding the GPL and Sharpen?

Is Sharpen deemed a compiler and/or needs the generated source code be put under GPL or can Sharpen be used as a tool to generate source code that may then used with any license? Are we still free to choose any license we want for the generated source code?

I hope so - otherwise (if the generated source would need to GPL) this tool would be useless for me (and for many others too, I guess).

 Yes.

In the default namespace example i found: '-namespaceMapping java Sharpen'

I'm assuming this 'Sharpen' package is GPL and should be replaced by self-written code when you don't want your project to GPL ?

Hi,

Isn't possible to release classes under this namespace (Sharpen) as LGPL
(or some other more relaxed license?)
